A written background behind the Differences Campaign Project

Stop blaming people for their differences:

There is still an old fashioned attitude that unless you are blind, deaf cannot walk, talk of have other obvious mental and physical difficulties you are lazy or pretending to have a difficulty.

Certain TV entertainment can has causes negative perception of people invisible difficulties. Many people like Little Britain may be entertaining wheelchair character - pretending to be disabled some people with have sincere conditions like autism links that character thanks they false acting.

There is a contradictory argument if you try to come across are adjustable then can be treated as an incompetent failure  is that person any signs of gap of skills and intelligence or qualities no matter how small it is. But if you are seeking help or go for what they entitled of they care accused they are a fraud and play acting their difficulties and be constant get undirected treated as a liar just because of not having obvious mental and physical difficulties.

Because this lack of understanding certain people use that example and think I can pretend to be asperger syndrome for examples and chat entitlement. This type of action undermines and disrespects anyone who face hidden difficulties and unfortunately they pay the price (on what the ignorance has created) they are put in situation when have to keep justifying themselves which can be emotional stressful and drained.

A good example of this example of a person who has high-functioning autism who gets entitled to a concessionary bus present a pass to the bus driver gets a frowned on by other passengers thinking they are a fraud or even a that bus driver questions their disability and embarrass that person when it is not job to judge others they do not understand

In a very judgemental and intolerant society trying to masks their difficulties can back fire especially if their weaknesses are exploited them be brought the worse out of. In certain situations like a job opportunities if you do not disclose their difficulties they can breach heath and safety regulation. In other situations they would be treated as unintelligent with worse remarks than that if their difficulties are exposed.

Other like examples related to this includes if a person can read or write bus struggles to gain an academic qualification (due to the fact they have short-term memory difficulties and it affects their performance) then did well on vocational training on multimedia design they are moire likely to have their job application denied.

Sadly there is a culture of seven GCSE examination in job application discriminates against anyone struggles with exams due to their short memory difficulties even if this is not that person fault they do get blamed and treated as failure.

The examples mentioned leads to people go round in circles which are simply impractical and leads to disruptive consequences. Some how, that circle needs to be broken.
