Resource information behind the Differences Campaign Project

Stop the freaks and clown attitude:

Lot of things can be achieved together and not left to one person alone combat against discrimination

Rather than react in the usual way towards people of differences pay less attention on what people round you and put yourself through their eyes and the difficulties they experienced which an average person takes for granted.

Pay more attention on how the entertainment you receive might make you judgemental for the wrong reasons.

Take time out and find you out the variety of difference in society the web is usually the quickest resource. Ask yourself how the various hidden difficulties affects then the obstacles and how hard it is to achieve the similar goals you might take for granted.

Distinguish from the entertainment which makes you wrong judge others and judge people differently.  If you do not think this is not a major issue then you are part of the problem.

General Public

If you see or know someone close to you or if you see a stranger who do pick on others or discriminate or be deliberately offensive report the incident for example a security, staff, the police or a manager at the place you are at the time.

If you take more aware of these point then you not like to branded ignorant or naive you would be more respected for doing the right thing, even if you not be popular for it.

Remember doing nothing and saying nothing is not a defence!

People with hidden difficulties

You need to take greater responsibility when this happens to you even if the close people round you disbelieve you.

You need to take action and report this to the relevant officials. For example if you get picked on or face discrimination at a train station you can contact the British transport police, if you face this at a shopping mall you need to speak the shopping centre security or in other locations call the non-emergency police number. Even if you cannot provide evidence, reporting is better than saying nothing then situation could get worse. If the same person causes problems then they are more like to be detected by police or other officials, especially if the same person discriminates against other

Do not expect anyone to do this for you even if you cannot cope. if you let it get worse then do not expect any sympathy or empathy if you do not receive the right understanding from people close people round you.

The reason why certain people might discriminate, simply they think they can gets away with it.

A Family member, friend, work mate or an acquaintance of a person with differences

If you some you know someone who face discrimination or gets picked on frequently do not disbelieve them even if you do not notice it yourself. Do not shun them and do not create a discussion on how their circumstances are insufficient compared to others who might have greater problems. If you do this they will likely leave you in the dark if this problem gets worse.

Show interest if what they have experienced. You might suggest plan to be at situations when you likely to face first hand experience. When you report on their behalf of others to officials like police, it is more likely to have progress on any actions taken rather than a person reporting alone.

If more people take action on this matter then more can achieved but it everybody's responsibility

to stop this kind of discrimination.

If nothing gets done the we all pay the price indirectly.
